Project Overview
Shack Events specialise in providing event bar support to major stadia and venues across the UK and Europe. Founded in 2013 by James and Richard Manning, they are an independent, family-owned business who focus on the core principles of excellent hospitality.
Our relationship with Shack Events began back in 2019 when we supported them during events at venues such as Wembley, Edgbaston and London Stadium. As stadiums transitioned into cashless venues, we ensured Shack Events bars had a reliable internet connection to allow card payment transactions.
As Shack Events has grown and expanded, we have supported them to expand and improve their headquarters in Bromyard.
What was the requirement?
Several services were required for the expansion of their headquarters. These includedsecurity-based services, networking cabling, Wi-Fi and a Starlink internet provision across their Distribution Centre, Offices and Storage Warehouse.
Solutions
At the Headquarters site, we installed an IP CCTV system, a wireless AJAX building alarm system, Paxton Door Access, Wi-Fi (including Cat6 cabling and Ubiquiti access points), Starlink Internet, and internal network cabling (using Excel Cat6 cabling and OM4 fibre optic cabling) across their Distribution Centre, Offices and Storage Warehouse.
In addition, we upgraded their mobile bars network cabling and Wi-Fi. This ensured that each bar can be easily connected to a roaming Starlink internet solution or directly connected to a cabled broadband provided at venues.
Considerations
We worked with the Founding Directors to design and install each project and meet specific deadlines that worked with their events schedule. Each element of the Headquarters project had to be planned around the construction works for their expansion, ensuring we avoided disruption to staff across all sites at Headquarters.
